I recorded 4 episodes with Jobber in Las Vegas VLOG
Last week, I packed my bags and headed out to Las Vegas for an unforgettable trip four back-to-back podcast episodes with the Jobber Masters of Home Service team.
From automations and AI to content creation and social media, we covered some of the most exciting and fast-moving topics shaping the future of home service businesses today.
And yes I documented the entire journey, from the flight to the studio, the late-night conversations, and everything in between.
Touchdown in Vegas
Landing in Vegas is always an experience where else can you play slot machines while waiting for your bags? From the airport, I headed straight to the Wynn Hotel, where both my room and the SiriusXM studio were located.
I had barely 30 minutes to drop my stuff before jumping into back-to-back recording sessions. The studio itself was incredible Shaq, Stephen A. Smith, and Carrie Underwood have all recorded there. Not bad company to be in!
Episode One: The Future of AI in Home Services
Our first episode dove deep into how business owners can leverage AI not just as a buzzword, but as a real co-pilot in daily operations.
I shared one of my favorite hacks:
Use ChatGPT’s voice feature like it’s the world’s top recruiter. Just talk naturally:
“Hey, I’m trying to hire a salesperson who understands X, Y, and Z about my business.”
Then ask it to generate:
- A job description,
- Interview questions, and
- Ideal answers to screen for the right fit.
We also explored a bold prediction I truly believe:
By 2026, most home service business owners will have AI avatars of themselves.
At Phlash, we’re already doing this. Our AI avatar can answer, “What would Phil say?” referencing all my podcasts, SOPs, and training materials. It’s like cloning your expertise for your team.
Episode Two: Automations That Print Money
Next up, I sat down with Corey, an electrical contractor from Canada, to discuss automations.
He shared a brilliant system using aging unit reports to trigger follow-ups for replacement jobs. When an HVAC unit hits 10 years old, they automatically send a friendly reminder to the homeowner offering a check-up and options for replacement.
It’s simple, but genius and one of the easiest automations that any home service business can implement.
Episode Three: Creating Viral (and Valuable) Content in One Hour
Then came my favorite episode a conversation with Hunter, a junk removal entrepreneur with over 200K followers.
We talked about how to create powerful content fast, even if you only have an hour a week. A few takeaways:
- Document, don’t overcreate. Show your day, your team, your process.
- Shoot quick videos like:
- “Meet our CSR, here’s what she loves about working here.”
- “Shop tour: how we keep things organized.”
- “Our origin story, why we started this business.”
You don’t need Hollywood production. You just need authenticity.
Episode Four: Preparing for the AI Search Revolution
In our final episode, I shared insights from my recent webinar on ranking in AI search.
One stat that stood out:
Only 46% of Gen Z use Google for local searches the rest are finding businesses through AI and social platforms.
That means your content is training the algorithms that will recommend you in the future. The sooner you start building your presence, the more you’ll dominate when AI search becomes mainstream.
Beyond the Studio
Evenings in Vegas didn’t disappoint great food, great company. From Italian dinners to taco runs at Tacos El Gordo, the conversations with other entrepreneurs were just as valuable as the recordings themselves.
And yes, I’m still a fan of The Venetian that endless “sunset sky” ceiling never gets old.
Heading Home with Big Takeaways
A quick recap of the trip:
- 4 episodes recorded
- Countless insights shared
- 1 big theme leverage AI, automation, and content to scale your business
If there’s one message I took home, it’s this:
“Content is king but automation and AI are the kingdom.”
At Phlash, we help businesses create, automate, and scale with AI. If you want to explore how this could look for your company, there’s a link below to set up a meeting.
